We get this question a lot and the answer is "it depends!"
If you're looking for low crowds and aren't planning to swim, shoulder seasons of April-June and September-October are best. The weather is pleasant, but the water may be a bit too chilly to swim.
If you're looking for perfect swimming weather and a vibrant festival scene - July and August are perfect for you if you don't mind crowds. We also have tips for avoiding them (hint: picking the right resorts are key!)
How much to budget for a custom Greece vacation?
While you could do a week-long shoe string DIY budget for a few thousand dollars (without airfare or food), we typically recommend budgeting about $4,000-$6,000 per person for a week staying in 3 and 4 star hotels, transportation, tours & tickets, and minor incidentals.
