The best time of year to visit Italy is between April and November. You’ll have mild weather in the shoulder season, perhaps with a bit more rain (April, May, October & November), while your warmer and more crowded months will be over the summer (June through September)
How much to budget for Italy vacation packages
While you could do a shoe string DIY budget for a few thousand dollars (without airfare), we typically recommend budgeting about $4,000-$5,000 per person for a week for 3 and 4 star hotels, transportation, tours & tickets, and minor incidentals. You’ll need to then add in the cost of airfare, food, adult beverages, and incidentals. We can talk through a personalized budget estimate in our planning and discovery call.

We often get asked how we build custom Italy vacation packages. It all starts with a phone call. During that call we get to know you and those you’ll be traveling with. We ask a LOT of questions – about what you want to see, where you’ve been before, your favorite foods, if you enjoy doing, seeing, walking, etc. Then we head back to our desk and craft a proposal that includes options we think match the vacation you’ve been dreaming about. Then we go back and forth making adjustments and tweaking things until you say it’s perfect! From there, we’ll secure your reservations and make sure it all comes together.
