Anguilla, A secluded romantic tropical destination

Anguilla is a small, British overseas territory located in the Caribbean Sea, not far from Saint Martin. It's known for its white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and relaxed atmosphere. This makes it a popular destination for couples and honeymooners looking for a romantic and secluded getaway.

Where to Stay:

There are many luxury resorts located on Anguilla, offering services like spa, wellness, non-motorized watersports and more. We highly recommend one of two resorts:

Cap Juluca, a Belmond Resort

Highlights include the long stretch of white sand beach on Maundays Bay, three on-site restaurants, and incredible spa.

Four Seasons Resort Anguilla

Highlights include the beach on Barnes Bay as well as multiple restaurants and three outdoor pools.

What to do

There are many activities to enjoy on Anguilla, making it a great destination for couples who want to get away and relax. Here are a few ideas:

  • Spend your days lounging on one of the island's many beautiful beaches.
  • Go snorkeling or scuba diving to explore the crystal-clear waters.
  • Take a boat trip to one of the nearby cays or neighboring island like Saint Martin or St Bart's
  • Go hiking or biking in the island's interior.
  • Play golf at one of the island's two courses (One is really close to the Four Seasons Anguilla)
  • Visit the island's many restaurants and bars (There are many that are super popular with visitors for food and rum punch!)

Best Time of Year to Visit

The best time to visit Anguilla is during the dry season, which runs from December through April. During this time, the weather is warm and sunny, with an average temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The humidity is also lower during the dry season, making it more comfortable to be outside. Note that many resorts on the island do close during September and early October as part of their "off season" in part due to the risk of hurricanes.
